Morning Routine for Strengthening Intuition
Updated February 2025 ( Originally posted October 2022)
The start of your day is the perfect time to connect with yourself. When you have a morning routine that activates your intuition, you set the tone for a day filled with alignment. Keep reading for simple ways to make the best morning routine for you, plus strategies to strengthen your intuition today.
5 Prompts to Find Your Best Morning Routine
Discover the morning routine that will support you best. First, ask yourself these questions:
How do you want your mornings to feel?
How much time do you have?
What are you already doing in the mornings?
Do you have any favorite practices or rituals you used to do that you want to return to?
Anything new you want to incorporate?
Your routine is not in charge of you. Let it support you.
You get to explore and experiment. Just because we’re talking about a routine doesn’t mean it has to be the same every day. In fact, that can be totally unrealistic.
How to Begin Your Day with Intuition
Your intuition is your inner voice of wisdom within. When you start listening to your intuition and acting on the guidance you receive, you will feel less overwhelmed and more aligned in daily life.
Your intuition can support you in making small, everyday choices and in big, life-changing decisions.
There isn’t one “right” way to access intuition. Use these three steps to start accessing your inner voice, then adjust in ways that feel good to you.
Turn your focus inward. Close your eyes, steady your breath, and exhale deeply when thoughts arise. Take your awareness to the space inside where you've heard your intuition before. (Everyone is different - you may feel your intuition in your chest, belly, or somewhere else.)
Tune into your quiet knowing. Go into receiving mode and listen. Your intuition might show up with words, images, sensations, or even complete stillness. This is perfect. Ask your inner voice open-ended questions — and if anything is unclear or unsatisfying to your mind, follow up with more questions.
Trust with open curiosity. Your intuition is part of you. It wants what is best for you. It believes you and believes in you. Experiment with acting on the insights you receive. Play with trusting what comes.
A Year of Calm for You
When you’re overwhelmed and uninspired, a few deep breaths won’t cut it. What you need is a whole new way to connect with yourself.
Get ready to finally feel grounded in who you are and where you’re headed.
Morning Routine to Increase Your Intuition
Ritual Stack: Body Scan with Gratitude Practice
As you wake up, connect with your body. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Bring your hands to your heart or rest them on your belly and take a few deep inhales and complete exhales. Do a body scan from the tips of your toes up to the crown of your head, bringing appreciation and energy to all of your spaces.
Grounding Ritual: Connect with Intuition
Choose one way to connect with your inner wisdom. You can meditate, write in your journal, or pull an oracle card. One of my favorite practices is even more simple. All you have to do is pause, breathe, and ask your inner voice, “What do I need?”

Look at the Calendar + Set Your Intention for the Day
Setting intentions is a practice of gathering a word (or group of words) to anchor your desires. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. Intentions are a conversation you get to have with yourself.
Looking at what you have planned for the day will help you set an intention that supports what you actually have going on. Do you need a powerful or calming energy today? Do you need to be focused or flowy? Tune into the calendar and your inner wisdom to set intentions that serve you.
Come Back to Intuition Through Your Morning
As your coffee brews. When you get dressed. As you drop your kids off at daycare or school. As you drive to work. Gentle and simple. Drop into your intuition and see what wisdom comes through.

10 Daily Practices for Intuitive Living

From a young age, you’re taught to trust experts and seek outside opinions. This is useful to learn, but it stands in the way of trusting yourself. Try one or all of these practices and see how you feel.
Name the location. Ask yourself, “Where is this information coming from?” Thoughts often feel like they’re coming from your head and intuition feels like it’s coming from lower in the body, like your heart or your gut.
Start small. Experiment with decisions that are very low-stakes like choosing a nail polish color or which show to watch.
Play with time. Set a time frame or time limit to check-in. Or try something your inner voice guides you to for 5 days, 30 days, etc. Whatever feels good.
Ask for a sign. Ask the Universe for signs to confirm what you’re intuition is saying.
Pull a card. Tarot and Oracle cards can help you access inner wisdom through reflection.
Through transitions. Connect with your intuition in the pivot points and transitions through your day.
Take one minute. Set a timer and give yourself one minute to be still and listen.
Ask a question. Pause, breathe, bring your awareness to that place within where you feel your intuitive wisdom, and ask, “What do I need?”
Begin that day with intention. Each morning, tune into your intuition and set intentions for the day.
End the day with gratitude. Each evening, connect with your intuition and feel into gratitude, through a mental list, meditation, or gratitude journaling.
